At this A. Quincy Jones-designed classic in the Crestwood Hills, the colors, finishes, tiles, wooden brise-soleils, windows & sliding doors have been painstakingly restored, affording a time-travel like sensation to the visitor. Redwood, mauve-pink cement blocks, greenish-stained plywood and beams of direct sun make for a rich warmth that is harmonious, structured and serene. The intimacy of the sleeping quarters perfectly balances the openness of the public rooms. The walled patio, lush landscaping, fountain and carport look as if they had always been here (though essentially newly added). Only the built-in espresso/cappuccino machine in the kitchen and its high-end German appliances bring us out of the original period. On a mostly flat lot, with buffering yards on both sides, the Postwar vision of modern living amidst and open to nature here endures. Sold before processing.
